WebJul 12, 2011 · #1 I've never been overly impressed with the Buck 119 and the 110 as deer hunting knives, though many of my bowhunting pals like them. First off, the 119 has a blade that is too long. I like 3.5" to 4" blades for gutting and skinning deer. I also don't go for the clip point though I have used that blade style with no problems.
